Abstract, a work void of any attempt to depict external reality. Works not of the world around us yet, the world within ones self, ones internal reality. Here one has complete freedom with the medium of paint.
Bowe found abstraction when He could no longer hold composure painting representational works. He felt caged and needed a release. He would snap and slam the brush on painting, a new form emerged one that was not in the world he was depicting until the action producing it was undertaken. This brought Bowe to the process of knowing what he was going to do yet not what it would look like.
